We have a 3-BR, 1-BA casita available for rent for you and your guests across the street from the Hacienda222. Most of our guests stay in the west, in Isabela or Aguadilla, close to Hacienda222, though it’s also an easy drive from the San Juan metro area.
If we haven’t spoken to you before you send your deposit to reserve your wedding date, we’ll send a form for you to fill out so we can learn a little bit more about your vision for your day. Once we get all the details ironed out, we’ll send you a confirmation email reserving your date and time and the services you’ve selected. We can always add services and update your guest count up until your final payment is due, 30 days before your wedding. We cannot remove services once they are booked; however, as we book your team members and they turn away any other business on your wedding day.
You can always reach out via email or schedule a call throughout the planning process. We’re happy to help! But the beauty of booking our services is that we take it from there! We’ll do all the planning, negotiating, payments, booking of your team members, etc.
6 weeks before your wedding
About 6 weeks before your wedding, we’ll send your final wedding details, including your wedding itinerary. We’ll need a few things from you at this time like any dietary restrictions for your guests, song requests for your DJ, your selection for your bouquet and boutonniere etc.
One month before your wedding
A month before your wedding, we’ll confirm your final guests count and update your pricing, if needed. Your final payment will also be due a month before your wedding.
We can take payment via credit card or bank transfer on our payment platform.
Two weeks before your wedding
We’ll check in with you again a couple of weeks before your wedding to make sure everything is all set and you don’t have any other questions. We like to have things pretty buttoned up at this time so that you can focus on getting ready to travel and enjoying your time in Puerto Rico!
One week before your wedding
If you have booked our limousine transportation or our hair & makeup services, we’ll reach out a week before your wedding, introduce you to your chauffeur and/or hair and makeup artist, and provide you a timeline for their services.
When you book your wedding with us, we’ll send you a quick questionnaire so that we can get to know you a little better and plan your ceremony. Your professional and experienced officiant will use your responses to create a customized ceremony for you. We love to customize our weddings for all kinds of couples. We perform ceremonies for vow renewals, blended families, same-sex weddings, & opposite-sex weddings. We love integrating cultural elements and traditions from around the world, from ‘jumping the broom’ to exchanging malas. We’re happy to include a favorite reading or scripture, or not mention religion at all. It is your day and we want your wedding ceremony to reflect who you are.
If you’ve opted for our doorstep hair and makeup, you’re in for a treat! Our hair and makeup artists are experts in creating wedding day looks that are perfect for weddings at Hacienda222. They also have extensive experience working with all skin colors and hair types. Most importantly, they are pretty great humans, fun to be around, and we’re proud to have them on our team!
Our hair and makeup artist will likely be the first team member you meet in person when they arrive at your hotel or vacation rental on the day of your wedding. You’ll be introduced via email about a week before your wedding so you can discuss any specific inspiration or requirements for your wedding look. We’ll also let you know what time your hair & makeup will be arriving. We carefully curate your timeline for the day to allow plenty of time for a non-rushed stress-free wedding day.
On the day of your wedding, your hair and makeup artist will bring her mobile salon with her so that they can create your wedding day look. She can accommodate a range of skin tones, but she’s also happy to work with your own foundation or lipstick if you’d prefer. If you have friends or family that would like hair and makeup services, just let us know, we are happy to help!
The next team member you might meet is your chauffeur. Similar to the hair and makeup service, we’ll send you a limousine itinerary and introduce you to your chauffeur about a week before your wedding. Your chauffeur is a part of the Hacienda222 family, not an outside contractor. They will have your contact information and you will have theirs if you should need it on your big day. Your limo will be scheduled to arrive at your hotel or rental early, waiting for when you are ready. Your wedding day is carefully planned and coordinated, and our luxe transportation is a big part of that, removing any stress about timelines, transportation, or driving in an unfamiliar place. And, it’s pretty fun to ride and arrive in style!
Arriving at Hacienda222
The gates at Hacienda222 will open 15 minutes before your ceremony starts. Hacienda222 is a private facility and we are not able to open the gates ahead of time.
There is parking available inside the gates for about 7 cars. If additional parking is needed, guests can park behind our building across the street, the Colmado. There are also restrooms at The Colmado if guests arrive before the gate opens at Hacienda222.
Your wedding day team
Your photographer, videographer (if you’ve opted for our wedding video), and team lead will be there, and waiting will begin capturing the day as soon as the first guests arrive. Your DJ will begin to play as guests arrive.
Some couples like to keep with tradition and not see each other on their wedding day. If that is the case for you, we’ll get your partner ready at your wedding altar and have them turn around to face the ocean so that they don’t catch a glimpse before your ceremony! Our expert photographers will guide on exactly what to do, when to stop etc. to capture that special moment.
Your wedding ceremony will last about 15 minutes after which we’ll get some group photos. Our photographers will have a plan and will guide you through it, but feel free to let them know any special photos you want.
The bar will be open as soon as your ceremony ends. We’ll be serving water, sodas, beer, wine, and our artisanal rum punch, made from passionfruit from Hacienda222 and Puerto Rico’s own premium Don Q Cristal. The bar will stay open until your ‘that’s a wrap time’, 3 hours are included with our packages.
About 30 minutes after your ceremony and photos, its time to eat! We’ll have your guest be seated and our excellent team of servers will bring your plated meal. We’ll ask in advance about dietary restrictions and make sure to take care of your vegan and vegetarian guests.
Yes! Hacienda222 is home to a 40′ vertical shipping container. Our staff is happy to take guests to see the view after meal service is complete. Entrance to the tower is not permitted without a staff member guide.
We are happy to perform ‘symbolic’ ceremonies where the couple is legally married elsewhere but chooses to have a meaningful ceremony for themselves and/or loved ones in Puerto Rico. Read more about symbolic weddings here:https://prdestinationweddings.com/symbolic-wedding//
We highly recommend that you dress with comfort in mind. Hacienda222 is open-air with a lovely ocean breeze, but there are exposed spaces to the sun, and no air conditioning. In addition, please wear comfortable footwear, especially no high heels, due to all of the decks and woodwork, as well as all the grass. You’ll be more comfortable.
Sure, you can have your ceremony at one of our beach locations and your celebration at Hacienda222 afterward. An additional fee applies. $750 for elopements and $1,500 for Barefoot on the Beach ceremonies.
For $575, your photography and videography team will take you in style in our stretch limo to a beautiful deserted beach five minutes from Hacienda222. When applicable, you’ll have a 20-30 minute photo shoot resulting in 50-75 photos and drone footage from the beach for your wedding video. It’s also a great way to enjoy a quiet half hour together on your wedding day, away from your guests.
Located on 1½ acres in stunning Isabela, Hacienda222 offers expansive views overlooking one of the island’s truly deserted, untouched beaches. A ‘bohio’ gazebo featuring a traditional thatched roof, a reclaimed shipping container wrapped with a gorgeous covered deck, a stunning outdoor dining area under the stars, and a circular arbor for wedding ceremonies help to complete the space. In a true feat of creative engineering, another reclaimed shipping container has been turned vertical, creating a tower with an observation deck with 360-degree views of Puerto Rico’s entire northwest coast, a basement wine cellar, and luxury bathrooms. Organic raised beds for herbs and vegetables for our meals surround Hacienda222.
Hacienda222 is also entirely “off-the-grid”, using both solar energy and rainwater collection. Couples need not worry that their wedding is affected by frequent island power, water outages, or a noisy generator powering their celebration. Hacienda222 is both beautiful and sustainable.
With elegant yet rustic, custom, and super-creative decor, this is the perfect space for an intimate gathering. Whether you’d like a dinner or brunch after your wedding ceremony, our celebration package at Hacienda222 is designed to take all the stress out of planning. And, just like your ceremony, all you have to do is show up!
There are two bathrooms and two open outdoor shower areas within the gates. If guests arrive prior to gates opening, they can use the bathroom across from the black and white mural at the parking link above.
If you cannot travel to Puerto Rico for your wedding date, as always, your deposit and fees paid are fully applicable to another date and time, pending our availability. We cannot offer refunds, but we can and will be flexible regarding rescheduling.
If we are available, we can plan your wedding in less than a month. However, our availability changes very frequently as we book new weddings. Most couples book with us anywhere from three to six months in advance.
