Welcome to our first blog post here at Hacienda222!
It seems a bit odd to be writing this, as we’ve been operating for several years now. We’ve already hosted hundreds of happy couples and events, and we’re finally ready to share it all.
These pages are filled with great information about hosting your own magical event at Hacienda222. We’ll keep this blog updated with buzz and happenings at our amazing space, from events to (adorable) animals.
To start, I’d like to answer the frequently asked question, “Do you only do weddings at Hacienda222?”
The answer:
No. But we understand why you might think that way ;). The answer lies in our roots and beginnings. I founded Puerto Rico Destination Weddings Inc., our sister company, more than ten years ago. We’ve planned and performed hundreds (approaching thousands!) of destination weddings and elopements on beaches and in venues across the island.
Five years ago, I purchased the most stunning cliffside property I’d ever seen, overlooking a deserted beach and the endless sea. As our address is 222 Calle Girasol, and our official ribbon cutting was 2/2/22 at 2.22 pm, and it was all possible because of all the happy duos we’ve created….the number two made sense, and Hacienda222 was born.
Over the past few years our team has built the most amazing and unique event venue Puerto Rico has ever seen.
Of course our first events here were weddings, which has enabled us to fine-tune our high levels of service in the most pressure-filled of circumstances. Lately, we’ve loved expanding our offerings to corporate events, birthday parties, private dinners, and more. Several weeks ago we hosted our first pop-up restaurant, a five-course curated tasting menu featuring fresh ingredients from Hacienda222. It was a huge success, and we can’t wait to do more.
