We hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and are enjoying stunning spring weather, as we are here in Puerto Rico!

The week leading up to Easter, known as Semana Santa or Holy Week in English, is one of the biggest holiday celebrations in Puerto Rico, second only to our extended Christmas season that lasts for months.

We honored this special week by hosting an Easter egg hunt for three local orphanages. The community came together, donating 35 Easter baskets filled with essential items for the kids, such as shoes and clothes, as well as plenty of fun treats and educational toys.

We are so proud of our community. And even our animals got involved in making sure the kids had a great time! You can see Yama helping to guard the baskets in the photo below, and our mini mule, Pippy Longstocking, and our resident socialite, Devi, make an appearance in the video as well.

The kids searched the grounds for Easter eggs, played with the animals, played yard games, enjoyed homemade snacks, and took in the fantastic view. It was truly a special time to share the stunning space at Hacienda222 with the sweetest group of kids.
